Soldiers of Valour

Today has been a day of meetings with our workers- "Soldiers of Valor" in my books. These weren't all "high level" meetings- some of the day was spent in what I call "mentoring meetings".

Pictured here with me are David & Lois (Father & Mother) Stewart; they are two of our most senior workers here (42 years in India) told me of the time he was jumped by a leopard only 20 feet away from him while up north near the Himalayan Mountains. He just barely had enough time to bring his gun to his hip and shoot. One precise bullet landed in the old gal's head and dropped that cat right in front of him. He was able to reach down and touch it- and can still reach down and touch it today- he still has the skin!

Here is Paul and Melody Dixion, another "not so senior" colleague who has recently retired from the military, and is now working in India, told me of his 17 year old son's death from muscular dystrophy and of how God has kept them through the pain and sorrow of it all.

My life has been changed by these dear and special friends. I can honestly tell you that if you think you are touched by these workers when they are in America- I want you to know the impact is a thousand fold when you are working with them on location!

I feel so insignificant next to them. But, with all grace and humility which abounds, they contend with me and assure me I am doing what I am called to do and it is of no less value. And I guess I do have my own stories of God's grace and power! Although I am not interested in meeting up with an black Indian leopard anytime soon, thank you very much!

Thanks for checking in- and thanks for remember us before the father's throne; it makes all the world's difference.

Be blessed and remember His Hope Abounds in India!

An old friend

We so appreciate you checking in more than you’ll ever know. God is faithful!

I am in India and everything has gone great thus far! The moment I stepped off the plane- or better said- stumbled off the plane (after 23 hours and 11 times zones later- and the weird lady I sat next to for 10 hours) I felt as though I had been embraced by an old friend, desperate for love and more friendship. Unlike my first visit to India when I stepped off the plane and each of my senses were adamantly assaulted! India has certainly changed over the past 23 years since that visit. But thankfully God has changed me as well. And you had a lot to do with that! Thank you!

The General Council has just finished and the meetings went very well. Pastor David Mohan, from New Life AG, sends his greetings.

Each of the missionaries and national leaders are so very grateful for the items I was able to purchase bring over for them. Did you know that you cannot get Velveeta cheese in India- however, there are currently 2 known bricks in the country- for now! To those who helped me with that eleventh hour request- thank you so very much!

Saturday, I will catch up on some prayer and study for the services I will be speaking at New Life Assembly of God on Sunday. Thanks for remembering that day in prayer.

Brenda the kids are faring well; thank you for remembering them.

Blessings to you- thanks for the prayers- please keep them up! God's greatest for India is just ahead!
